Comm1 Cause and Effect blog

Many influences can cause a variety of events to happen in our lives. These events have outcomes that are not always related to the influences. While volunteering at Andrew Jackson Middle School, the bookkeeper paid for my lunch at Mr. Submarine one afternoon.

 

 

Maybe she bought my lunch because I am a hardworker, or because I am very polite and respectful towards every one in the office. Maybe she bought my lunch because I have volunteered at least 40 hours of my time to the school.

 All three of these are influences to the main event. Though they may not directly relate, the bookkeeper buying my lunch allowed me to take a break from working, I earned a sandwich from one of my favorite places, and I didn't have to pay for my lunch that day. Many factors may have caused the event and many outcomes may have come from the event; cause and effect may be demonstrated through many situations.
